Athletes & Fitness
Many people seem to be training harder and harder – but they are not maximising their potential. The problem is that physical training is only half the battle when it comes to optimising performance and achieving your goals. Nutrition is often the missing link and until now there has been much confusion as to where to turn for the right advice. Professional Sports teams have their own dieticians and sports nutritionists who design structured eating plans for their clients. Unfortunately, these nutrition professionals often charge over $200 per hour for a consultation. However, now you can have the breakthrough information that will allow you to create meal plans based on your individual needs.
Learn Exactly What to Eat for Maximising Your Workouts and/or Athletic Performance
The NutriFit programme takes the guess work out of eating right. It teaches you exactly what to eat and importantly when to eat. The meal planning you will learn is based on supplying the body with the optimal balance of nutrients you need to achieve your ultimate sporting or body composition potential. You don’t have to be a high caliber athlete or exercise junkie to benefit however. The NutriFit programme caters for the broad spectrum of anyone who is active, whether that be walking a few times a week or competing in an Ironman Triathlon.
More specifically, the NutriFit programme can help you understand:
- the importance of planning food around exercise including the 3 phases of workout nutrition;
- how to optimise recovery from each workout so you can continually perform at your best;
- how to improve energy levels during each workout and throughout the day;
- the strategies for reducing body fat while having sufficient energy and nutrients to perform;
- the dietary supplements and ergogenic aids that are most likely to improve exercise capacity and performance.
Below are some articles that have been written by Dr. Nick Kimber for the magazine Mountain Biking Australia. These articles are written for mountain bikers of all levels, however the information is very transferrable to anyone who is active.

Here is an example of an individual who has experienced great success when applying the exercise nutrition principles outlined in the NutriFit programme:
”Using the NutriFit programme was reasonably easy for me as my compliance was around 85% at the start...the eating style was very reassuring. I found the rules very practical and easy to follow. To further improve compliancy I found I had to watch my alcohol and coffee intake, up the timing between the meals and importantly ensure post work out nutrition was adhered to. I also found my nutrient intake improved immensely noting a slightly higher raw foods intake and a much higher iron intake over all lead to gaining some good results.
I was surprised (with meal intakes increased approx 2meals a day) to trim off approx 2% body fat and increase my lean muscle mass. A marked difference in my athletic power and general endurance lead me to trimming over 3mins off my personal best half marathon time...I was stoked. The other significant change was with general improvement with athletic recovery, which meant I could train more effectively and frequency. Generally I felt well recovered which also helped slightly with mood improvement...often feeling grumpy when I am doing hard training I felt good (which was good for all around me).
As a trainer I never recommend nutritional changes without trialing that technique myself. Given I got such good results following the NutriFit program I've recommended NutriFit's eating style to several of my competitive clients and attendance to the program to two friends who are competitive athletes. I have also verbally recommended the course to several Personal Training colleges.
Nick, thank you for creating such a smart and useful nutritional program. I think I'll adopt it for life with the occasionally non-compliancy called vino now and then!”
